What is?
Human geography is the study of people’s relationships with, environment.
Subfields of Human Geography
Economic Geography
Economic geography is the subfield of human geography which studies economic activity and factors affecting them. It can also be considered a subfield or method in economics.
Population Geography
It is the study of the ways in which spatial variations in the distribution, composition, migration, and growth of populations are related to the nature of places. It focuses on the characteristics of population distributions that change in a spatial context.
Urban Geography
Urban geography is a branch of human geography concerned with various aspects of cities. An urban geographer’s main role is to emphasize location and space and study the spatial processes that create patterns observed in urban areas.
Political Geography
Political geography is concerned with the study of both the spatially uneven outcomes of political processes and the ways in which political processes are themselves affected by spatial structures.

Carl Ritter(1779- 1859)
Carl Ritter, (born Aug. 7, 1779, Quedlinburg, Prussia — died Sept. 28, 1859, Berlin), German geographer who was cofounder, with Alexander von Humboldt, of modern geographical science. Also, Carl Ritter is known as the founder of Human Geography. He was frequently more a historian than a geographer and wrote what has come to be known as a geographical interpretation of history

Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich Alexander von Humboldt FRS (14 September 1769–6 May 1859) was a Prussian geographer, naturalist, explorer, and influential proponent of Romantic philosophy and science. He was the younger brother of the Prussian minister, philosopher, and linguist Wilhelm von Humboldt

Why Do Competitors Often Put Their Stores Next to Each Other?
It is a common phenomenon that competitors locate their store next to each other. If you watched the video up you might understand the reason. But to sum up I will explain it with a little article.
Actually, it’s related to Human Geography, and it’s explained with “Game Theory”. Sol let’s have a look;
Firstly all businesses want to take place in the center of their target audience. This makes them reach the highest population they can. If another business comes nearby they must divide the area in half then settle down to the center of their areas. But this area division won’t look them enough so they would get closer to each other for having a bigger part until they locate nearby.
In theory, this is the answer but there are many other factors that are not calculated.
